Originally from Auckland, New Zealand and now based in Sydney, Chad’s work comes from a mix of focus and curiosity. He’s drawn to small details and objects, but his mind tends to move across different interests. It’s a kind of restlessness that makes this way of working feel right.
Many of his images are shown in series, the same photo repeated within a clean, structured layout. Seeing the image more than once changes how it’s read, shifting attention from the subject to the act of looking. What feels familiar starts to take on new weight.
At its core, Chad’s work looks at how attention changes what we notice. By repeating moments, he slows things down and makes space to see what’s usually missed.
