Originally from Auckland, New Zealand and now based in Sydney, Chad Konik is a photographer and artist drawn to the things that are easy to overlook — everyday objects, small details, familiar places and moments discovered while travelling.

His work often uses repetition, taking a single photograph and placing it within a clean, structured grid. Seen again and again, an ordinary subject begins to feel different — less about what it is, and more about what made it worth noticing in the first place.

At the centre of Chad’s work is curiosity. A number on a wall, a bottle, a flower, a palm tree or a place he happens to pass. Photography gives him a reason to stop, look again and give those things a little more attention.
